Lovin' with the Leading Lady

FOUNDER & CEO
Asia Hokett-Barber
Born and raised in the Queen City (Charlotte, NC) Lady B is the last generation of her family to be born into segregation in 1994. A wife, mom, and lover of community-choosing to sow into a better tomorrow than the experiences of yesterday by exposing the truth and nurturing those truths with love. Liberating generations forward and back became Lady B's posture as she healed through her own experiences- a revolutionary way of teaching and healing was cultivated.
The land of truth is a manifestation of her personal liberation and inner child healing. By implementing the healing pillars of cognitive enlightenment, vessel nourishment, spiritual healing, and community uplift to her daily life she freed herself not only from the matrix but various forms of spiritual psychosis, roots, and generational traumas. With a childhood of trials also came many triumphs as even in youth, Lady B was a master alchemist. Defying odds inside and outside of classrooms and organizations everywhere she went. From "A" honor roll, solo vocal performances, modeling in CIAA, awards from Incorporated Organizations like Delta Sigma Theta as "Excellence in Youth," performing in Charlotte-Mecklenburg's prestigious arts summits and programs for exceptional talent, and a host of other accomplishments.
In 2012, the then teen entrepreneur, honor roll scholar, and student athlete made the decision to step into adulthood by serving our nation as a Soldier in the United States Army Reserves at 17 years young. With honorary recommendations from her JROTC leadership she then went on to compete in and win the 2013 Miss JACA (Jamaican American Cultural Association) Scholarship Pageant.
After graduating from Harry P Harding University High School with honors in June of 2013, the Marching Band of Gold-Golden Fire Dance Line Captain took her talents to Fort Sill, Oklahoma where she became platoon guide for the 2nd platoon Reapers of Fox 1/40th. Highlighting skills, she'd learned both in band and JROTC. The only 9-Ether female to lead her platoon of troops. During her basic training tenure, she was also honored as top of her class for Drill & Ceremony and exceptional marching and maneuvering.
Her next stop was AIT where she became a Pharmacy Technician and held the honor of mistress of ceremonies vocally performing for the graduating classes during her time at Fort Sam-Houston, Texas,
Upon completion of her military training, she returned to her home soil to support in the nurture of her ill grandmother who was facing stage 4 colon cancer. While loving on grandma and teaching westside scholars at her local YMCA to then teaching in the school system she'd just graduated from the year prior.
From a cafeteria aide to an instructional assistant, Lady B found her second home leading scholars in the classroom. After her grandmother's transition where she was spiritually initiated as a death doula, she decided to continue her college degree which she started in high school. After being accepted into Fayetteville State University she decided to honor her grandmother by auditioning for their marching band where she made the dance and auxiliary performance team.
Shortly after that accomplishment Lady B expanded her teaching skills to become a certified brain trainer. This exceptional work put her in position to teach youth and scholars how to enhance their brain muscles and raise their IQ's for improved cognitive capabilities.
Traveling almost daily between Charlotte and Fayetteville grew taxing on Lady and she eventually realized she was experiencing a deep depression from the transition of her first mother-her grandma who'd she so dearly missed.
Battling the epigenetic genocide, grief, toxic family, racism and manipulative leaders in the Army, and a yearning to follow the dreams and visions she knew were true in her heart-Lady B called to the cosmos for a necessary change only divine love could bring.
In March of 2017 Lady B was reassigned to a unit in Miami, FL with the best military leaders she'd ever encountered. On an exclusive mission of only 36 Soldiers-then Specialist Hokett was 1 on 2 pharmacy technicians to support the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center during Operation Freedom Sentinal. Outside of operating exceptionally in her MOS she also served as her units Moral, Welfare, and Readiness Liaison. As MWR coordinator SPC Hokett connected Soldiers from various backgrounds creating a melting pot energy and immense Esprit de Corp that earned her the Military Volunteer Service Medal. Dedicating well over 1000 hours of community service to not only her unit but the entire base. The events she hosted included Soldiers of all ranks and would even be honorarily attended by the highest-ranking officer on post, the hospital commander.
Her exceptional service led her to being named the 2017 Joint Forces Junior Enlisted Pharmacy Technician of the Year. This prestigious acknowledgement was leadership nominated and included junior enlisted service members from all services-Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
This exceptional service led the duty station to request Lady B's return as an individual augmentee meaning she'd serve on the same mobilization apart from her unit continuing her phenomenal service.
After a series of highs and lows with the poor leadership on her 2nd deployment, SPC(Promotable) Hokett returned to her home soil in yearning for the embrace of her few loved ones. Within 30 days of returning home she discovered her grandmother deceased in her home. Passing from a heart attack and soiling for 3 days alone in the heat of the Carolina soil. Her second initiation into her bloodline as a death doula and the inheritor of her bloodline's natural capabilities.
After nurturing her family through the transition of her dear friend and spiritual team captain-she set forth on a new journey which led her to become a GS civilian at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Starting in Family Programs as a GS 7, Lady B began supporting the Midwest headquarters that governed 19 states and over 100 different units.
Amidst the 2020 pandemic Lady B gained her most honorary and sacred title of MOMMY- having her first baby boy that fall.
As the weight of her time in boots and the connections to her childhood traumas began to no longer be passive, she realized change of some sort was on a near horizon.
After medically retiring from service, Lady B pledged her life to healing herself so that her sons wouldn't have to endure a broken other. Something no child deserves.
After birthing her second son, she received a vision from her grandmother ancestors calling her to their native land of North and South Carolina. This call to ancestral elevation and veneration came with facing the traumas of her bloodline. Many of which had gone decades with light of love and truth.
With the love and unwavering support of her husband, Brandan, at her side and the guidance of her ancestors and spirit guides, Lady B was able to verbalize the methods she instilled to save not only her mind but her soul.
Liberating herself through childhood SA and PTSD, military experiences of the same, and a plethora of undiagnosed traits like being neurodivergent.
From the darkest of her days she shined her light standing on the 4 pillars; cognitive enlightenment, vessel nourishment, spiritual healing, and community uplift.
